One Is Better Than None

It looked like the Fat Guy wasn't going to get a ride in for the whole month of Feb. This was becoming severely annoying. Last weekend the Fat Guy had to take work all day which was good because business is slow this time of year and the bills keep coming. The two weeks prior had snow and although the Fat Guy was tempted, it was just too cold.

So today arrives with 60ish weather and a slow afternoon at work. Once the 3 o'clock appointment was done it was time for a ride.

There have been red flag warnings the last couple of days for wind so the Fat Guy didn't know what to expect. It turned out to be a nice enjoyable ride. Riding the first part of the route up was slow due to the wind but at least today it wasn't in every direction.

15 mph average for the first few miles, made a turn and had 24 mph average, made a turn and had 22 mph average. Ended up cruising and coasting for a couple of 3 miles home. All told it was a nice 16 mile ride.

No heart monitor and no worrying about how fast or far. . . just riding.
